"Panama Limited Jug Band" is the debut album by UK Jug Band "Panama Limited Jug Band" from 1969.

Editorial Reviews
Late 60's jugband bluesoutfit led by Denis Parker alongside Gary Compton (harmonica) and Brian Strachan (guitar), the Panama Limited Jugband, also named after a Bukka White song (from 1930). The band was based in the Richmond area of London, which at the time was kind of a hotbed for blues

(the Crawdaddy Club), especially acoustic style blues. Shortly thereafter, however, Denis became disenchanted with the music business. Thankfully he left us these recordings as an artefact. They shortened their name to Panama Ltd. for a second album by which time Liz Hann, their vocalist, had left and been replaced by Anne Matthews. On this better second album their early jugband sound is replaced by a brand of Beefheart - influenced rock.

Whilst I appreciate this might not be to everyone's taste...
This is the original Panama album released in 1969
and Indian Summer was the second album from 1970.
This album is full of acoustic instruments from kazoos to tea chest basses,
 banjos and guitars and harmonicas.
Songs range from straight blues to novelty and Liz Hanns who performs many of the vocals lends the whole album a sense of fun.
She left after this album .
Indian Summer is a much more electric affair with a distinct Captain Beefheart feel.
By this time the band had dropped "Jugband" from their name.

A fun quirky sunday morning listen for me. BTW: Guitarist Denis Parker left the UK after this first album and took up life in Newfoundland, Canada where he lives, plays and still releases albums to this day. I've had the pleasure of enjoying a drink with him as well as hearing him play many times over the years.

Ron Needes left at the same time as Liz, he is well and lives in the north east of Scotland still playing music with the odd gig here and there .
